Drs. Wang and Riehn were awarded research support for their project SEQUENCE AND STRUCTURE SPECIFIC DNA BINDING BY COHESIN AND GENOME STABILITY. In it, they will investigate how the interactions of the DNA-binding proteins SA1, TRF1, and TIN2 lead to DNA-DNA pairing in processes ranging from DNA repair to telomere stability.
